| Height: 1.70 m | Hair: Gray | | Weight: 74.00 kg | Eyes: Grey | | Appearance: Age 68 | | Personality: Dr. von Mieter is obsessed with werewolves. It is the only driving force in his life. He will even risk friends' lives if he thinks it will help to defeat these foul beasts. When he is not talking werewolves, the good Doctor is quite amiable and warm fellow, who enjoys a good smoke and a good joke. | | Quote:I will not rest until the last of these foul creatures rot in hell. | Background: It had not been a good year for Doctor Johan von Mieter. First tuberculosis had taken his wife but he could get by as long as he had his son. Unfortunately even that support was to be ripped from him. It was on a hunting trip that he and his son was enjoying a late night walk in the grove and the beast attacked. It tore savagely into his son's throat killing him instantly. But as the beast was turning toward the Doctor, a shot rang out and the beast dropped dead. A lone aged hunter came forward and helped the Doctor up. He explained that what just attacked him was a werewolf and that now it was dead.
Now tragedies can do strange things to a man. Some drink their life away. Some live in a pseudo half life. While other faces the tragedy, become strengthened and move on with their lives. But some men turn to vengeance, such was good Doctor's path. He learned what he could from the old man, studied ancient text concerning the lycanthrope and prepared an arsenal to combat these creatures. It was during this time, that he met his rival werewolf hunter Dr. Cole. The two have never seen eye to eye on dealing with the creatures (Dr. Cole believes that it is a disease that can be cured).
He has since been traveling and fighting werewolves and other occult creatures wherever he can find them. He has written a book on a book on the subject that was well received in the occult community. While none of this has been good for his career, he does not care as long as he defeats these creatures. | | Powers/Tactics: The good doctor carries a wide variety of objects to deal with were-wolves from wolf's bane to silver bullets. He tends to stay in the background and uses rifles or pistols to deal with things. His knowledge of languages is a great help for any team trying to figure out what ancient texts say. | Campaign Use: The good Doctor is looking for a group to help him deal with a nest of werewolves and is willing to pay. But will the good Doctor be more of a hazard in his pursuit of vengeance?
A strange creature stalks the London night, a creature that is half man and half wolf. But neither Dr. von Mieter nor Dr. Cole is anywhere to be found. Has one of these great minds of lycanthrope succumbed to the curse that they battle? |
